‘No Horns, No Hurry’: Indian Expat Praises Dubai’s No-Honking Culture And Traffic Discipline

If you’ve lived in a big Indian city, you know the soundtrack by heart: engines rumbling, rickshaws buzzing and, of course, horns blaring out loud. So when an Indian expat in Dubai posted a video highlighting the no-honking culture during peak traffic, people naturally were shocked and confused.

Indian Expat Video Praising Dubai’s No-Honking Culture Strikes A Chord Online

Lovkesh Solanki, founder of Solanki Properties from India, filmed himself during the evening rush near a traffic signal in Business Bay, Dubai, as mentioned in a report by Hindustan Times. In the video, you can witness cars lined up, people tired after work, and everyone inching home. Usually, that’s when chaos begins. But in the clip, you hear nothing. Just quiet, steady movement.

He speaks casually in Hindi as he walks along the pavement, and his message is simple: this is what traffic looks like when people follow the rules. No unnecessary honking. No impatience. No drama. As he spoke in his Instagram video, which translates too “I’m standing on one of Dubai’s busiest streets,” he says. “Cars are lined up, it’s evening, everyone wants to go home, but not a single horn. Because people only honk here when someone actually makes a mistake.”

It’s a clean, relatable comparison, especially when he adds that in India, even stationary cars seem to find reasons to honk.

His caption summed up the vibe neatly: “No horns. No hurry. Just smooth drives in Dubai.”

Why This Clip Struck A Nerve

The video spread quickly, mostly because it taps into something many Indians feel whenever they travel abroad: the sharp contrast in road behaviour. You don’t need flashy visuals to make a point; sometimes silence speaks louder.

Social Media Fills With Comments

Under the post, comments poured in from viewers who immediately understood what Solanki was trying to show. One person wrote, “That’s why Dubai is the best. In India, there are no proper rules,” while another chimed in with “Dubai is another level.” You could almost hear the collective sigh of agreement.

A Small Moment With A Bigger Message

What makes the video effective is that it doesn’t preach; instead simply shows. And sometimes, seeing calm, disciplined traffic in a busy district like Business Bay feels more surprising than any skyscraper.

For many expats, this kind of everyday order is one of Dubai’s underrated perks. Solanki’s clip might be short, but it’s sparked a conversation that echoes from beyond Dubai’s roads.
