Recently, the National Centre of Meteorology of Saudi Arabia forecast the continuation of rainfall of varying intensities. This is across most regions of the kingdom and will continue throughout Saturday. As it happens, people have been against severe weather conditions, and here’s all you need to know about this weather-related update coming in from the kingdom.

NCM Predicts Rains To Continue Until Saturday In Saudi Arabia

As predicted by the National Centre of Meteorology, rainfall of varying intensities may continue across most of the regions of Saudi Arabia through Saturday. This forecast is based on the output from the Saudi numerical weather model. Moreover, it indicates that the rainfall can also be accompanied by wind that can reach up to 60 km/h. It can also be accompanied by hail, high waves along coastal areas, and there could also be risks of flash floods.

Rainfall Of Varying Intensities

As revealed by the Gulf News in its report, it mentioned how the NCM also predicted that rain is expected to begin affecting Asir, Mecca, Qassim, Al Baha, Medina, and the Northern Borders. It is also predicted that the heaviest downpours may occur in Taif, regions between Medina & Qassim, and areas near Hafr Al Batin in the Eastern Province.

On Monday, heavy rains may return to the central parts of Mecca along with scattered showers that may happen across northern Asir and southern Jazan. By afternoon, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected to spread across western regions.

What Is The Weather For The Coming Weak?

Although it is predicted that rainfall is expected to largely subside by Tuesday morning. However, rain is expected to develop by Tuesday evening across the Southern regions of Najran, Asir, and Mecca. Moreover, light to moderate rainfall is expected to continue until Wednesday. It can intensify over Asir, Najran, and Jazan. After this, it will ease and shift towards Tabuk, Al Jouf and the Northern Borders through Thursday morning.

By the evening of Thursday, moderate to heavy rainfall may return to central Asir and areas between Najran and Jazan. And conditions are expected to mostly remain dry elsewhere until Friday afternoon. Finally, by early Saturday, these conditions are expected to improve across most of the areas.
