This newly unveiled twin-bridge stretches more than three kilometres across the and cuts travel time, relieving pressure on packed routes. Ras Tanura is a heavy traffic area in the energy sector, and having smoother access makes a world of difference for logistics, workers, and families trying to get from point A to B.
A Game-Changing Road For The Eastern Province
The inauguration was a full-fledged event that gathered big names, including Transport Minister Saleh Al-Jasser and senior officials from the General Authority for Roads.
Key Upgrades To A Vital Highway Network
Prince Saud spoke to Saudi Gazette about that support, stressing how these new upgrades aren’t just about concrete and steel but about improving safety, cutting congestion, and raising the quality of life for the communities relying on these roads every day.
Alongside the new bridge, the emir also opened the upgraded intersections on the Dhahran–Buqayq–Abu Hadriyah highway. Think five new bridges, stronger lighting, and proper rainwater drainage. Add new service and directional ramps, and drivers coming from places like Buqayq, King Abdulaziz Port, Bahrain, and even Aramco’s Ajyal community get smoother access to the routes they use most.
