Global Village Dubai To Celebrate UAE Flag Day With 700 Illuminated Drones! Here’s All We Know

Global Village is gearing up for a flag-waving night next week. A show featuring 700 illuminated drones will fly over the park on Tuesday, 3 November, in honour of UAE Flag Day. The night is likely to draw a crowd. The theme is national pride, and the park is leaning into it from the moment you walk through the gates.

When Is The Global Village Drone Show?

The show kicks off at 8pm on Tuesday. Flag Day is marked on 3 November every year, and this year’s edition is the 14th. Expect the sky to glow in red, green, white and black, the colours of the national flag, as a light-filled tribute to the country.

What Else Is Happening On The Day

The drones aren’t the only part of the celebration. Everyone who enters the park on Tuesday will be handed a UAE flag at the gate, so you can join in rather than just watch from the crowd.

Flags will also be on display across the park, and landmarks such as the Carnaval wheel will be lit up in the flag’s colours. It should make for some very photogenic corners even before the drones take off. Between the flags in hand and the colours overhead, this is one of the more interactive ways to mark the day in Dubai.

Don’t Skip The UAE Pavilion

The UAE Pavilion is expected to be one of the busiest spots on the day. It has local products and Emirati specialities to browse, which makes it a good place to spend time before the show begins.

Each pavilion at Global Village features products, cultural performances and displays from the country it represents, so it’s a handy place to spend the hours before the show.
