1. 175+ Jolly Joggers Joined Ski Dubai’s Festive Fun Run

The Ski Dubai Festive Run recently brought together more than 175 joggers at the event. The racing event took place at -4⁰C and featured 300-m and 1-km racecourses. Yes, these were divided into three categories – Kids (aged 5-9), Juniors (aged 10-17), and Adults (aged 18-70). As it happens, even Santa Claus made a special appearance, as he flagged off the race! The joggers were dressed in their fanciest clothes, and the participants received a commemorative medal at the finish line. Not to mention, they also got a chance to win prizes for the best costume.

2. Dubai RTA Plans To Convert Its Taxi & Bus Fleet Into Electric And Hydrogen Vehicles

The Dubai Road And Transport Authority recently revealed that it has plans to convert its taxi and bus fleet into electric and hydrogen vehicles by 2050. Yes, this development comes with a new strategy, and the plan is to align with the city’s goal of becoming a 20-minute commute city. Not to mention, it also aligns with the government’s Dubai Urban Plan 2040.

3. Emirates Is Serving Exceptional Wines Onboard

In the coming months, Emirates plans to introduce a selection of the finest white Burgundy wines. Yes, this includes Premier and Grand Crus wines such as Montrachet 2011, Chevalier-Montrachet 2013, and Corton-Charlemagne 2014, Échezeaux, Clos Vougeot, and Chambertin. Presently, it serves 36 different varieties of French wines and Champagnes, with each of the four cabin classes having a distinctive selection of wines.

4. First Qatar Airways Flight Lands In Neom

On December 9, Saturday, the inaugural Qatar Airways flight to Neom, landed, making it the ninth destination in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The aircraft was received with a water cannon salute and this, beautiful destination is connected through a flight from the Doha Hamad International Airport.

5. Dubai Municipality Kicks Off Farmers’ Souq At Al Safa Park

The Dubai Municipality recently kicked off the Farmers’ Souq. It should be noted that it is a free social and investment agricultural platform and it brings farmers together. Yes, therein they can sell their products directly to consumers, and the market will be open till February 24, 2024. So, you can drop by every Saturday between 4 pm and 10 pm at the Al Safa Park.

6. Half Marathon To Take Place At Expo City Dubai

There’s an Expo City Half Marathon that will be taking place in Dubai on February 4, 2024. Yes, this will be in the three categories of 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km. As the races begin at 7 am onwards, you can already register yourselves for any of these, online!
