When to visit?

Typically, extreme snowfall starts in November and lasts till February. Hence it is better to travel the valley while avoiding the harsh snowfall. How to reach the destination?

  • If you are reaching the destination flying, then Jubbarhatti Airport is the closest one. Taxis and other modes of transport are readily found once you exit the airport.
  • Kalka is the nearest railway station to reach Sangla. Boarding a train from Shimla will take you to Kalka, and from there you can ride on taxis, available outside the station.
  • There are many options to travel by road. Many buses are available from Chandigarh to reach Sangla. Also, you can reach by boarding a bus to Rekong Peo (37km away from Sangla). The easiest route for the Delhi people is travelling through the route to Shimla via Karchham to reach Sangla.
