Mukteshwar is situated at an elevation of 2,285 m above sea level and got its name from a 350-year-old temple Mukteshwar Dham whose residing deity is Lord Shiva which is also the main attraction here.

Mukteshwar is perched atop a hill in a remote corner of Kumaon Hills and is surrounded by fruit orchards and coniferous forests. The destination offers stunning views of the Himalayan range and the famous Mukteshwar Temple which is the main attraction here.

The quaint town is adorned with small abodes of reddish roofs, ancient style window frames and is also home to Renewable Park developed by The Energy and Resources Institute and The Indian Veterinary Institute Campus.

How To Reach?

You can take a train to the nearest railway station to Mukteshwar which is Kathgodam station and is around 70 km away from Mukteshwar.

Patnanagar is the nearest Airport to Mukteshwar which is around 100 km away.

You can drive down to Mukteshwar from Delhi which is well connected by NH-24 and it will take you about 6-7 hours to reach Mukteshwar by road.
