Fukuoka entered the Asian top 10 for the first time at number eight, reflecting interest in destinations beyond Japan’s traditional tourist hubs. Its beaches, proximity to UNESCO-listed Hoi An and relatively good value are helping make it a popular choice for repeat travellers.
