A Perfect Picnic Spot In Thane With Waterfalls That Is Perfect For The Monsoons

Cut off from the main city, on the other side of Mumbai’s famous Sanjay Gandhi National Park lies Yeoor Hills. Curvy roads, lush greenery and waterfalls – everything you can think of to please your eyes. Visiting this place during the monsoons is probably a treat to your inner soul owing to the lush green landscapes and refreshing waterfalls.

Yeoor is basically an area comprising of 6 villages. The main attraction of the place is definitely the lovely hills. It proves to be an amazing tourist spot for people from Mumbai and outskirts of the area.

You can enjoy the entire day basking in nature’s lap and indulge in some hiking, bird watching or just chilling with the lovely vibes of the place.

What’s In It? 

Yeoor Hills has been a favorite spot for trekking for various Mumbai folks. You can easily beat the heat of Mumbai if you’re visiting the hills during the rains. You’ll have an excellent time because the Yeoor Hills are located near the Upvan lake. You can set up your picnic camp there.

How To Get There? 

Yeeor Hills are located near Thane station. You can easily hail a cab and take the road to the location. You can even travel by Mumbai’s Central Line and take a rickshaw to the location.

What Else?

Planning for a picnic in the wilderness is not as easy as it sounds. Make sure you’re carrying food and drinks, if required. Be prepared with glucose if you’re planning for a trek and carry trash bags to avoid littering the area. Apart from that, you may not find any guide to help you navigate through the hills, so make sure you have a map on you.
