Over the last couple of days, Mumbai experienced heavy rainfall followed by a massive dust storm. One of the worst aftermaths of this sudden weather change in Mumbai was the collapse of the billboard in Ghatkopar that claimed 14 lives. From air travel and metro to local trains and roads, this sudden change in weather disrupted every means of transport in the city. Airlines like Vistara, SpiceJet, and IndiGo had to issue warnings and even divert many of the flights coming towards Mumbai to nearby airports.

The dust storm on Monday even disrupted the operations of the metro and local trains in the city. IMD even issued a thunderstorm warning in Central Mumbai, Thane, Bhiwandi, Kalyan, and Badlapur yesterday. Thankfully, there was only scattered rain and mild winds reported in some of these areas.

Mumbai’s weather seems to be on a seesaw right now! What’s the weather like in your city? Let us know in the comments.
