It has also issued some prohibitory orders for 24 hours, which will start at 12 am on Republic Day. The reason behind this is that an aerial attack is suspected on Republic Day.

Dadar’s Shivaji Park Area Is Declared A ‘No Fly Zone’

Vishal Thakur, Deputy Commissioner of Police, issued a notification in which he mentioned that security has been stepped up ahead of India’s 74th Republic Day celebrations. The notification also stated the reason behind declaring Dadar’s Shivaji Park, a ‘no fly zone’. It was said that it is quite possible that terrorists or anti-social elements might try to breach the peace during the public programme and ceremonial parade

It stated that terrorists or anti-social elements might use the airspace to create disturbances in the programme and public tranquility. This might be very dangerous for human life and might also cause damage to public property. In addition to this, any flying activities will not be allowed in the legal area of Shivaji Park Police Station on January 26. According to the police, the order will be in effect until the end of January 26.
