Mumbai International Airport Installs 2D Barcode Readers To Scan Tickets At Terminals

We all hate the long queues at the airport where we have to get our flight tickets checked manually. Taking note of the situation, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has installed 2D barcode readers in the airport. These scanners are placed right at the entry gates of Terminals 1 and 2. The decision to make this new development was taken to make sure that passengers enjoy a hassle-free travel experience.

2D Barcode Readers Installed At Mumbai International Airport

Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport believes that the passenger experience is of the utmost importance. It decided that a good passenger experience should begin at the airport’s curb. They have installed 2D barcode readers at the entry gate to make sure that the process of entry into the terminal is a bit more quick. The CISF officers standing at the terminal entry gates will be scanning the barcodes on the tickets or boarding passes instead of manually checking the ticket.

This facility, which will surely improve customer satisfaction, will begin on January 26, 2023. The ultimate goal is to ensure that the passenger’s journey from the entrance to the terminal is pleasant and quick. The newly installed facility will not only improve security, but it will also improve efficiency. Both of these things are very important for an airport that handles approximately 48 million passengers annually.
