Benne To Open Its Biggest Outlet In South Bombay, Ranveer-Deepika Are The First Visitors

The brand quickly became the crowd’s favourite after launching in May 2024 as a 250 sq ft Darshini-style eatery in Bandra, thanks to its delicious, authentic South Indian food. Benne soon opened outlets in Juhu and GK, Delhi. But now, it is all set to enter a new chapter with its biggest outlet yet in South Bombay. With a sprawling 4,400 square feet in Girgaon Chowpatty, the outlet will be open to the public for limited hours on March 27th, 28th, and 29th, 2026, between 3 pm and 11:30 pm.

Known for its buttery, crispy, golden-brown and almost pillowy dosas and the delectable Idlis, the South Bombay outlet is said to be even bigger and better. Recently, Benne Bombay shared a series of pictures on their official Instagram page where actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were spotted visiting the outlet before its opening. Sharing the picture, the post read, “Something and all is happening pt.2”.

Akhil Iyer and Shriya Narayan launched Benne in 2024, driven by a simple craving. In a report by the Indian Express, Akhil revealed the story behind Benne and how it was opened, as the duo was missing authentic Bangalore-style benne dosa in Mumbai.

Benne’s Most Popular Dishes

Benne is known for its authentic South Indian dishes like Ghe Podi Dosa, Ghee Podi Masala Dosa, Thatte Idli, Ghee Podi Thatte Idli. Their delectable beverages, like Filter Coffee, and Iced Filter Coffee are also one of their bestsellers. The new outlet will also be serving the new Filter Coffee Softy, which has got people talking.

Benne Bombay shared an update on its Instagram account about the new opening time. The outlet will be serving at its new outlet for limited hours due to the LPG shortage. Talking about the shortage, they wrote, “We are short on LPG cylinders. Shorter hours will ensure better use of resources.”
