You can tell a lot about a family from the way they talk about food. Krishna Shroff was midway through making what has now become something of a signature healthy smoothie during her sleepover date with Anushka Sen, when the conversation wandered into familiar territory: cooking, family favourites, and who actually knows their way around a kitchen. The answer, apparently, is not Tiger Shroff.

Krishna Shroff Says Jackie Shroff Is A Kitchen Legend

When asked about cooking skills at home, Krishna laughed off any expectations. Tiger Shroff, she revealed, can make eggs. That’s pretty much his speciality. It is not exactly the kind of culinary résumé that earns applause, but enough for Krishna to jokingly admit that he may be slightly better than her in the kitchen department.

The sibling banter lasted all of a few seconds before one name entered the chat and completely changed the conversation.

“Jackie dada.”

The moment she mentioned her father, Krishna’s tone shifted to genuine admiration. Because if Tiger’s contribution to the family menu starts with eggs, Jackie Shroff is operating in a different league, bhidu!

What Is Jackie Shroff’s Secret Ingredient?

Everybody knows he’s a legend in the kitchen, Krishna said, and she wasn’t talking about elaborate restaurant-style meals or recipes that require an entire shopping list. According to her, some of his most memorable dishes are way too simple.

That’s what makes it interesting! There are people who cook to impress. Then there are people whose food somehow tastes better because of how they are made. Krishna seemed to place her father firmly in the latter school. The dishes themselves may be uncomplicated, but, as she put it, it’s the love he pours into them that turns them into something extraordinary.

Naturally, the next question was obvious: what is the best thing Jackie Shroff makes? Krishna Shroff didn’t need time to think and praised his iconic curry patta dish.

For someone known for fitness routines, clean eating and disciplined habits, Krishna’s favourite food memory wasn’t attached to a trendy health recipe or a carefully measured smoothie; it was her father’s curry patta dish.

Some family recipes become famous because they’re complicated. Others become unforgettable because they’re made by the right person. This one sounds like the latter!
