There are two ways to travel in Mumbai. One by local train – Mumbai’s lifeline and another by metro. But, there is bad news for Mumbaikars, especially officegoers and students. If your daily route includes travelling by metro, then you will have to look out for another way to reach home. Amid the construction of new metro lines and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, the authorities have issued a new notice for the working hours of Mumbai Metro line 1 or Versova-Ghatkopar Line. Here are the details that you need to look out for.

Versova-Ghatkopar Line Closed For 2 Hours

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is said to visit Mumbai for the inauguration of Mumbai Metro Line 2A and Line 7. To clear the way for him, metro authorities have issued a notice which states the Versova-Ghatkopar Line will be closed between 5.45 pm to 7.30 pm on 19th of January, 2023. Further, they have conveyed their regret for inconvenience. Also, office goers are requested to find an alternative way or route to travel between these hours.

Inauguration Of Lines 2A And 7

The new metro lines 2A and 7 have received safety clearance from the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety. According to the Commissioner of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority, these new metro lines will start working from 20th of January. For your information, Line 7 connects the Andheri Highway to Aarey Road. Line 2A connects D N Nagar to Dahanukarwadi.

So, if you travel from Mumbai Metro between these hours on a daily basis, make sure you find an alternative in order to reach on time.
