23-year-old Mumbai girl, Aarohi Pandit creates history by becoming the first lady pilot to fly solo over the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. She was flying in a Light Sports Aircraft (LSA) over Alaska’s Unalakleet city across Pacific Ocean’s Bering Sea. Aarohi landed safely at 01:54 am in Russia’s Anadyr Airport.

Aarohi said “The Pacific Ocean flight was more beautiful than the Atlantic Ocean crossing and it was also one of my most enjoyable. I feel honoured to achieve these records for India and women all over,” reports India Times.
This is not the first record she has broken! Aarohi is also the world’s 1st woman to fly solo over the Greenland ice-cap and also over Canada from the North East to the North West, her team told IANS. In 13 months of her flying, she has set an example and has achieved the best in her field. This young pilot is breaking all the norms and telling the world what women are capable of!
The US Consulate in Mumbai congratulated this superwoman by posting it on twitter. Across social media platforms, people are encouraging this young pilot and how she has sent a benchmark and inspired all the women as well as men to strive for the best.
