Marine Drive is undoubtedly one of the favourite hangout spots of every Mumbaikar or tourist out there. Whether it’s a glimpse at the light blue sea during the day or the city lights along the Queen’s Necklace at night, it’s a sight to behold. And now Mumbai gets another stunning hangout spot. This is the new Dadar viewing deck that offers beautiful views of Bandra-Worli Sea Link. Maharashtra Environment Minister and Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray inaugurated the new viewing deck on February 9 that gives visitors uninterrupted views of the Arabian Sea. New Dadar Viewing Deck Has Cosy Seats, LED Lamps & More

The new Dadar viewing deck is built on 26 strong pillars that can accommodate around 300 people at a time. There are also 26 seating facilities for 100 people, who can enjoy the cool breeze and savour the gorgeous views of the Bandra Worli Sea Link. To add to the charm of the place, sophisticated energy-saving LED lamps have been erected. To give you a breath of fresh air from the concrete jungle of the metropolitan city, this viewing deck is surrounded by 130 trees of different varieties. It took around 6 crores to create this new hangout spot for Mumbaikars.

Dadar Viewing Deck To Be Named After BR Ambedkar’s Wife, Ramabai Ambedkar

According to a report by The Firstpost, Thackeray mentioned that the area once used to be an outdoor stormwater outfall. It’s now transformed into a viewing deck, nestled near Chaitya Bhoomi. The new viewing deck will be named “Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Smruti viewing deck” after the wife of BR Ambedkar, Ramabai Ambedkar. Chaitya Bhoomi is the cremation ground of the father of the Indian Constitution, BR Ambedkar. Pictures of the stunning viewing deck have taken over social media, garnering over 38,000 likes on Instagram and 1000 likes on Twitter. This stunning new viewing deck will be filled with people eager to click Insta-worthy photos or just savour a few moments outdoors, enjoying gorgeous views of the sea.
