Mumbai is developing, and we can see so many infrastructural changes connecting it to other cities way more quickly than before. There are so many projects coming up that will surely change the face of India’s financial capital soon. Taking to X ( formerly Twitter), a netizen pointed out how one of these projects will help one reach Pune from Marine Drive without seeing any signal.
Reach Pune From Marine Drive Without Seeing Any Signal
India’s financial capital is coming up with so many new projects, and we are so excited.
Finally after so many decades, I find great co-ordination among the projects planned in Mumbai and MMR. The below projects have synergy with each other,
1. Coastal Road (Phase 1 & 2)
2. Worli-Sewri connector
3. Mumbai Trans harbor Link
4. Navi Mumbai Intl. Airport
5. Konkan eway— Mandar Manmohan Sawant (@MandarSawant184) September 6, 2023
An X user (formerly Twitter) Mandar Mohan Sawant started a thread on the microblogging site stating how he can see synergy between various projects in Mumbai. He also listed those projects down, like the Coastal Road (1 and 2), the Worli-Sewri connector, the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, the Navi Mumbai International Project, and the Konkan Eway.
For example, to reach Navi Mumbai international Airport from.Borivali in future,
I can travel along the coastal road till Worli. Then take the Worli-Sewri connector Bridge & reach the MTHL
The MTHL takes me to the mainland and from there dedicated road to the Navi Mumbai airport https://t.co/ujtREHI8Rz— Mandar Manmohan Sawant (@MandarSawant184) September 6, 2023
In another tweet, he explained how one will be able to reach Navi Mumbai International Airport in the near future. One will travel along the coastal route till Worli and then take the Worli-Sewri connector. Next, he or she will reach MTHL, which will take them to the mainland, which will eventually connect them to Navi Mumbai International Airport.
Understanding The Synergy
+ There will be a dedicated connector to Mumbai – Pune expressway. So effectively, you can reach Pune from Marine Drive without seeing a signal. pic.twitter.com/Du6dRfNHLU

Interestingly, while he came up with threads, another user, @AvisharDutta posted another update on the same. He mentioned how soon there will be a dedicated connector to the Mumbai-Pune expressway. This will help citizens reach Pune from Marine Drive without having to see a signal.
He also posted a picture that explained the route and its connection. The route chart had all the other upcoming projects in Mumbai, so understanding the connection became simpler.
True. And with the missing link project hopefully a smoother and faster ride to Pune, without the traffic jam at the ghat section

@MandarSawant184 agreed to this and also commented on it. He said that with a missing link project, driving to Pune will be way faster. He also mentioned that there will be no traffic jam in the ghat section as well.
There will be multiple options like metros or other roads like Borivali-Thane tunnel and then link from Thane to Navi Mumbai, that will divide traffic.
I don’t think population of Mumbai is expected to increase. Growth will be in Vasai Virar area or Navi Mumbai (near MTHL)

Maybe 75 to 90 minutes

There would be connecting metros too but people with light baggage would prefer it.
People going with heavy baggage and kids may prefer hiring a Cab

I think all these projects have therefore being planned to have synergy with each other
The govt is also working to get the Navi Mumbai International Airport closer to Pune

He also answered other queries and informed the public about them!
