A video posted by @goodnews_movement posted a video which featured a 16-year-old intern from a restaurant. The video went viral on the internet for the young boy’s presence of mind.
In the video, an elderly man is suddenly seen in distress as he chokes on the food he was eating. He is seen struggling to breathe and standing up from his chair. The young intern who was standing behind the counter runs out to the old man.
He tries to help the old man by patting his back. When he realizes that patting is not helping, he performs the Heimlich maneuver. It is a first aid technique in which the upper airway obstructions are cleared with abdominal thrusts.

Kind Gesture And Presence Of Mind
The video posted on @goodnews_movement was a security camera footage and also accompanied a caption to explain the scenario to the viewers. It mentioned that the 16-year-old intern had learned this first aid technique on social media some days ago.
This viral video has by far garnered over 1.7 million views on Instagram and over 92,727 likes on Instagram. Netizens were super happy to see this video and appreciated the young boy’s presence of mind.
They also requested that the owner of the shop offer this intern a paid job already. Some of them called this boy an angel for his kind gesture.
