Solapur ranks first with the highest numbers of average annual salaries in India. This Maharashtrian city reaches the top with ₹28,10,092 as the highest average income annually, according to a report by Average Salary Survey. Solapur did not just beat the mammoth Maharashtrian cities such as Mumbai and Pune but cities of other states as well. A significant point to note here is that just 2 people from Solapur participated in this survey.

In this Average Salary Survey report, Mumbai in Maharashtra ranks second with an average income of ₹21,17,870 per year. From this city, a total of 1,748 participated in the survey, according to a report by LiveMint. One of South India’s most developed cities, Bengaluru makes it to the third position with ₹21,01,388 as the average annual salary. Delhi is on this list at the fourth position with an average annual income of ₹20,43,703.

• The Average Salary Survey stated that the average annual salary in India is ₹18,91,085.
• The most common earnings is ₹5,76,851.
• For men, the average salary is ₹19,53,055 whereas it is ₹15,16,296 for women. This report clearly points out the huge gender pay disparity even today.
• This report found out that the most-paying field is Management and Business. The average income is ₹29,50,185.
• Law is the second highest-paying profession where the average salary is ₹27,02,962.
