After UAE and Kosovo signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Thursday, January 11, it has been agreed that there will be mutual exemption of visa requirements. So, what this means is that holders of ordinary, special, mission, and diplomatic passports will now be exempted from visa requirements while travelling to either of the countries.
Kosovo Goes Visa-Free For UAE Citizens
According to a report by the Khaleej Times, it was revealed that UAE citizens will no longer require a visa to travel to Kosovo! Similarly, those travelling from Kosovo, holding the nation’s passports will also be exempted from visa requirements. This development comes after the two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding on January 11. So, what this means is that citizens from the UAE who have a valid passport for at least six months are exempted from having to apply for a visa. Not to mention, they can stay in Kosovo for up to 90 days per visit! Similarly, citizens of Kosovo who hold ordinary, official, or diplomatic passports, don’t need to apply for a visa for the UAE either.
Visa Requirements Exemptions Extended To Kosovo Passport Holders
In case you’re wondering, this development comes at a time when the Henley Passport Index 2024 was recently released for the first quarter of 2024. Yes, according to the ranking, the UAE has climbed up to the 11th rank with a visa-free score of 183. Previously it stood at the 15th rank, during the same quarter of 2023. So, this climbing of ranks has certainly made the nation’s passport stronger and is a moment of immense pride for the citizens as well.
