‘Back to School’ has taken a whole new meaning altogether amid the coronavirus pandemic. The months-long lockdown left students across the country resorting to virtual learning with school buildings closed and public transport system stopping operations to combat the virus spread. In a bid to attract students again, a Tamil Nadu school painted its corridors to resemble a train. And as students make their way back to school donning their masks and carrying their hand sanitisers, they’re facing their own issues. Firstly, due to lack of demand, transport systems have reduced their bus and train timings. A student from Odisha took to Twitter to highlight how the new bus timings result in him reaching school late. The Odisha transport department reverted to his plea by altering the bus timings to help him reach school on time.

Sai Anwesh Amrutam Pradhan studying in MBS Public School in Bhubaneshwar, took to Twitter to create awareness on his issue. Through a tweet, he informed the state transport department on how the changed bus schedule is making him reach late to school daily. While Sai’s school commenced at 7:30 am, the first bus on his route took off at 7:40 am instead.
