Patna Gets India’s Largest Outdoor Screen At Gandhi Maidan
Set up in the lawns of Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, the 42 feet high and 72 feet wide mega inflatable screen is India’s largest outdoor screen. The open-air theatre’s inaugural attracted hundreds of moviegoers who watched the social drama Bollywood film ‘Taare Zameen Par’, screened at 6 pm on December 12. This is an inflatable mega screen that was wrapped up post the movie screening. There’s a temporary control room near gate number 4 at Gandhi Maidan for operating the theatre. While the protect was launched in September 2020, it wasn’t functional due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.

Watch Films, Documentaries For Free During The Weekends
Now that it has been inaugurated, this open-air theatre featuring India’s biggest outdoor screen will be a delight for moviegoers. It promises a larger than life community experience. Harshita, the public relations officer at Patna Smart City Project Limited (PSCPL) revealed to Hindustan Times that films, sports and documentaries shall be broadcast during the weekends for free. This mega screen will enable over 5000 people to watch shows simultaneously from a distance of 30 feet to 300 feet. Visitors will be ensured of adequate lighting and security. The ambitious project came to light t a cost of ₹6.98 crores. The full high-definition mega screen at the outdoor theatre in Patna is certainly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for tourists.
