Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has unveiled its debut non-stop flight route, linking Dubai to Skardu. You can expect a picturesque city nestled in Pakistan’s Gilgit-Baltistan region. The inaugural flight took off on Monday, August 14, 2023, coinciding with the Independence Day celebrations in Pakistan.

Abdullah Hafeez Khan, the spokesperson for PIA, accentuated the flight’s launch as a catalyst for bolstering tourism and trade ties between the two nations. Khan highlighted Skardu’s latent potential to evolve into a pivotal tourism hub in the region to Khaleej Times.
In tandem, PIA envisions extending its international flight network to Skardu from various global origins, emphasizing its unwavering commitment to service excellence and passenger convenience.
This direct flight inauguration is poised to invigorate Pakistan’s tourism sector, rejuvenating it from the pandemic-induced lull.
