Ever since the Vande Bharat service began in 2019, it has revolutionised train transport in India. Since then, newer routes have been added to its network to improve transport and connectivity within India. Patna is the latest to get a new Vande Bharat route between it and Tatanagar. Here are all of the important details that you would need to know about this new Vande Bharat route between Patna and Tatanagar.

According to an article which was recently published by CNBC TV18, the new route will be launched by the South Eastern Railway Zone or SERZ. The route will be between Tatanagar, which is located in the Indian state of Jharkhand, and Patna, which is located in the state of Bihar.

If reports are to go by, this connection will revolutionise the transport between the two cities. It will make travelling between these two points faster and more efficient. The CNBC article also mentions that the rakes have arrived in Chakradharpur, which is also located in Jharkhand.

Furthermore, officials have said that preparations for this new route are underway. Initially, the Vande Bharat train on this route will only consist of chair cars. The executive chair car will not be available on this route.

Other Important Details About This New Train Route

Where earlier, it used to take more than eleven hours to complete the journey between Patna and Tatanagar, with the new Vade Bharat Express, it will only take around six to seven hours.

This reduction in travel time will prove very beneficial to the passengers.

With this route, Tatanagar now has a total of two routes on which the Vande Bharat plies. The other one is between Ranchi and Howrah. Ara-Durg South Bihar Express, Bilaspur-Patna Weekly Superfast Express, and the Tata-Buxar Express are the three trains apart from the Vande Bharat that offer this route as of now.
