1. Emirates Transport Signs MoU With Al Ghurair Motors
Emirates Transport is always trying to make service better for the people. And at GITEX Global 2024, it signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Al Ghurair Motors. Emirates Transport has collaborated with them on the exploration and promotion of alternative fuel commercial vehicles. It aims to evaluate the feasibility of sustainable vehicles and execute pilot projects for their use.
2. HE Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber Attends The Event

His Excellency Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, who is the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology paid a visit to GITEX Global 2024. He was given a tour of several pavilions where he explored cutting-edge projects and applications. In fact, he also launched the ministry’s newly updated website and data dashboard. This happened during the second day of the exhibition, which is taking place till October 18.
3. Sahala Pre-Paid Cards Introduced

Ajman recently introduced the Sahala prepaid card at the event. The Department of Finance in Ajman has launched this government prepaid card, which has been designed in such a way that it helps in facilitating secure service payments. It’s worth mentioning that this can be utilised through the Ajman Pay platform. Not to mention, it’s also expected to the digital economy in the emirate.
4. Xpanceo Displays Smart Lenses

At the ongoing event, Xpanceo, which is a Dubai-based company displayed its latest smart lenses. On the opening day, it was revered that this smart lens has been developed in such a way that it can detect early signs of glaucoma and also helps in resolving colour blindness and myopia. Offering better vision at night, this lens can also monitor health indicators like blood pressure and the presence of potential viruses.
5. HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Attends Event
His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed who is the chairman of Dubai Sports Council paid a visit to the ongoing event. This is the largest-ever edition of the global tech show and explores advanced products and solutions, which were showcased by global and Emirati exhibitors. As the event brought together some of the biggest innovators from different industries, Dubai has continued to raise its status as a premier destination for pioneering ideas.

6. Ajman Transport Showcases Technological Solutions
Ajman Transport presented their vision for future transportation on the third day of GITEX Global. These technological solutions were also sustainable and they were delighted to welcome distinguished guests at their stall.

Dubai Police introduced a revolutionary emergency response with its innovative Drone Box System. Yes, introduced at the ongoing event, these high-tech drones will be strategically placed throughout the emirate and will get activated instantly upon receiving reports of accident or emergency.
8. Palm ID Tech Introduced

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security at its stand introduced the Palm ID tech, which is the first in the UAE. This means with the help of this technology, soon you will be able to pay bills, withdraw cash without cards, and more with just the help of your palm. It’s worth mentioning that this is a part of the UAE Vision 2031 programme!
