Planning To Travel For Rakhi & Ganesh Chaturthi? These States Need RT-PCR Reports Or Vaccine Certificates

Planning to meet your long-distance sibling on Raksha Bandhan or visit your closed ones in another city on Ganesh Chaturthi? Many popular festivals are in line-up now due to which inter-state travel might increase. But since the COVID-19 pandemic is still on us, before you plan your travels, you need to be aware of the detailed guidelines and documents required. You’ll need an RT-PCR report or a vaccine certificate to travel to these places:

1.Chhattisgarh

People travelling to Chhattisgarh by air need to carry an RT-PCR negative report not earlier than 96 hrs (RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time) from boarding the flight or a full vaccination COVID certificate.

2.Karnataka

Passengers arriving from Maharashtra and Kerala via air, road or train must carry a negative RT-PCR test issued within 72 hours from an ICMR approved lab or vaccination certificate with at least one dose of vaccine. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time. Passengers might not be allowed to board their flights without a valid RT-PCR test report or a valid vaccination certificate.

3.West Bengal

Kolkata Airport has notified that from August 8, 2021, passengers coming from Pune, Mumbai and Chennai need to mandatorily carry RT-PCR negative reports with them not older than 72 hours from the flight departure. Travellers coming from all other states need to either carry an RT-PCR test report or a certificate of full vaccination. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.

4.Himachal Pradesh

Passengers who want to enter Himachal will have to carry a negative RT-PCR report not older than 72 hours. Travellers with vaccine certificates( one or both doses) will be permitted entry to the state.

5.Chennai

Travellers from Kerala and Tamil Nadu by any mode of transport need to carry an RT-PCR test negative certificate.

6. Goa

Passengers from Kerala travelling to Goa must carry a negative RT-PCR certificate, not older than 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR timeline begins from the swab collection time. Passengers without the RT-PCR test report might not be allowed to board the flights.
