Friday morning was surely a major surprise for many Delhites when they got to see Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelling on the Delhi metro. PM Modi took the metro services this morning to travel to Delhi University. He rode public transportation to reach his destination to attend the centenary celebrations there. While travelling on the metro, he even interacted with some commuters and passengers on the coach.
PM Modi Shared Glimpses Of His Metro Ride Online
Modi Ji took to social media to upload some photos from his Delhi metro ride. Sharing the pictures, he wrote that he was on his way to the Delhi University programme. “Happy to have youngsters as my co-passengers”, he added further.

The official Twitter account of the Bharatiya Janata Party shared a video of Modi ji entering the metro station using a smart card. As shared in the video, he takes a ride on the yellow line metro. He enters an empty metro coach and takes a seat there. During his journey, he is protected and surrounded by tight security as well.
What Are The Events & Celebrations At Delhi University About?
Pm Modi shared on 29 June that he will be attending the centenary celebrations of DU. He even praised the university for being a premier centre of learning and nurturing talent and fostering intellectual growth for 100 years.

The university just completed its hundred years and all these celebrations are to commemorate this special achievement. Hosted in the Delhi University Sports Complex, the Prime Minister travelled there to attend the closing ceremony of the centenary celebrations of the university. Being the Chief Guest of the event, he is also laying the foundation stone of three buildings there. He is laying the foundation stones of the academic block in the North campus, a computer centre, and the Faculty of Technology building, according to a report by Hindustan Times.
