MV Ganga Vilas embarked on its first-ever voyage back on 13 January 2023 from Varanasi. And finally, after completing a voyage of 50 days, the cruise reached its destination in Dibrugarh on 28 February at around 2:30 pm. Concluding the journey on a successful note, it is surely great news for the country and its tourism sector. PM Modi is also very happy about the successful completion of the voyage and he took to Twitter to share how special the journey was. Modiji also hopes that more and more visitors from India and overseas take part in the Ganga Vilas cruise”.
Sarbananda Sonowal is the Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways and he was present at the cruise’s destination on Tuesday. He was present at the venue to welcome the tourists and crew members in Dibrugarh after a long water journey of 50 days.
Ganga Vilas Will Soon Embark On A Journey From Dibrugarh To Kolkata
After wrapping up a 50-day water journey from Varanasi to Dibrugarh on Tuesday, the cruise is all set to leave for its second voyage and this time the destination is different, one of the most beautiful cities in India. Tourists will travel to Kolkata from Dibrugarh via Dhaka in Bangladesh. Raj Singh is chairman of Antara Luxury Cruises and he shared that this is going to be a 30-day long trip with 15 Swiss travellers, covering a total distance of 2,200 km. They are all set to kickstart the voyage on 2 March 2023, Thursday.

While travelling to Kolkata from Dibrugarh, the cruise will be making stops at different locations. Also, Swiss tourists will get to relish the best taste of Indian cuisine.
