Prime Minister Narendra Modi created waves on social media after he tried playing a traditional musical instrument during his trip to Manipur. He earlier laid the foundation stone for nine projects worth ₹2,950 crores and also inaugurated 13 projects worth ₹ 1,850 crores in the state. But the highlight of the trip had to be witnessing PM Modi playing a traditional musical instrument, it also led to curiosity about the traditions and culture of Manipur.
PM Modi Plays Traditional Musical Instruments In Manipur
On his arrival to Manipur’s capital, Imphal, PM Modi attempted to play some traditional musical instruments. Welcoming by folk artists in Imphal, he walked with the folk artists who played the gong. The Prime Minister joined them by trying his hand at playing the traditional drum in Manipur. With musical instruments like Dahpi, Dah Cha, Pena, Khol and Khuong being played on the arrival of the dignitaries, it was a melodious event.

During his address in Imphal, PM Modi stated that the Northeastern states will soon be India’s major drivers for growth. And Manipur shall lead India’s growth trajectory. He laid the foundation stone for five National Highway Projects to be built at a cumulative length of over 110km at a cost of over ₹ 1,700 crores.
