And now people of Pondicherry will soon be able to rent these e-bikes and use them for transportation. The rental facility began with the Tiruchy railway station and now it is slowly extending to other railway stations as well. What is the rental facility and where can you access the services? Pondicherry Will Soon Commence E-Bikes Rental Facilities
Tiruchi railway station began this rental facility back in December 2021 and it has become a major hit ever since then. And now the Tiruchi railway division is working with a firm to launch e-bikes in the Pondicherry railway station in the next couple of months. According to a report by New Indian Express, railway officials shared that they are also working to commence e-bike rental facilities in other railway stations as well.

A senior railway official shared that the division has already signed an agreement with a private firm to outsource these e-bikes for the Pondicherry railway station. The facilities are expected to start very soon, probably in the next few months.
There Are Additional Plans As Well!
The senior railway official further shared that the railway division has plans to expand the e-bike rental facilities to other railway stations such as Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, and Thanjavur. They are working to connect with many operators in other stations as well.
The e-bike rental services at the Tiruchi railway station have become very popular among passengers. So many people use these each and every day and this has led to the decision of introducing e-bikes even at the Pondicherry railway station.

When it comes to the Tiruchi railway station, every e-bike user needs to pay a deposit of ₹1,000. With the deposit, it is mandatory to submit a copy of an Aadhar card and driving license. Fare to use these vehicles is different for different people, on the basis of the time they use the facility.
