Punekars love their German Bakery dearly and now Mumbai has a chance to embrace it too. Finally, after a really long wait, German Bakery has opened its newest outpost in Bandra. With its cutesy interiors, feel-good vibes and of course, the insanely delicious food, it is something to rejoice about. The cafe has achieved somewhat of a legendary status and it is not just because of how good it is. Back in 2010, the Pune outlet was the site of a bomb blast that took the lives of 17 people. But it has only bounced back and come back stronger since then.
Mumbai’s German Bakery
The all-day diner in Bandra has joined the ranks of the many tiny cafes that dot the neighbourhood and opens its doors at 8 in the morning. Which means that you can drop by right after your morning run or workout to grab yourself a coffee and a hearty plate of their famous Keema Pav. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu boasts of delicious snacks that you can snack on at any time in the day while also indulging in their pizzas, burgers and sandwiches.

We particularly love their dessert section which has a chocolaty Sachertorte and also a lip-smacking Mango Cheesecake. I mean, where can you get a creamy slice of mango cheesecake in the off-season? Besides their extensive food menu, they also have a variety of beverage options which includes a long list of teas and coffees. With the unseasonal showers still pounding the city, this is the perfect place to lounge about and read a book while you sip on some calming chamomile tea.
We are glad that we have a new place to check out and we are a sucker for cute cafes and German Bakery ticks all the right places. So, the next time you are confused about where to go for brunch with your gang, German Bakery might just be the answer.
