Punjab Govt Announces The Launch Of First-Ever Punjab Tourism Summit & Travel Mart In Mohali

The Punjab Government recently made the announcement of launching the grand Punjab Tourism Summit and Travel Mart. It is going to be the first Punjab Tourism Summit. Both these initiatives are coming up in Mohali in September 2023. The primary goal of these meetings is to promote and boost the tourism sector of Punjab and establish it as a significant travel destination for all its beautiful experiences.

Both these events are going to be hosted in Mohali from 11 to 13 September 2023. The 3 day-event of Punjab Tourism Summit is majorly going to emphasise Punjab’s tourism with its rich heritage, traditions, art forms, and customs, according to the press release by Punjab Tourism. The significance of Travel Mart is to influence the forward-looking tourism professionals of India to travel to Punjab and position the state as a remarkable and preferred tourist destination.

Esteemed professionals are attending the event. Domestic and foreign tour operators, travel influencers, DMCs, DMOs, hotel operators, travel trade media, tourism boards, and many more people are coming to Mohali in September to join the event.

These Punjab Cities Are The Top Draws For International Visitors

A huge number of tourists from overseas countries visit India every year. For these visitors, Amritsar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Ludhiana, Patiala, and Roopnagar have been established as the top draws. To boost tourism in this state, the Department of Tourism has begun taking important steps already. From making plans to bringing every idea to reality, the department is working hard to develop Punjab as a preferred travel destination for Indian tourism. The department also aims Punjab to be a top tourist destination for foreign visitors by 2023.

The Department of Tourism recently conducted its four-city roadshow and it was the second leg of the meeting. From Jaipur to Mumbai, it continued to Hyderabad, and Delhi respectively. The roadshow began on 23 August and ended on 26 August.

A crucial agenda of this meeting is to present the plans and initiatives of the Punjab government to boost the travel industry to attract more visitors from India and abroad.
