On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh announced that the Punjab government has brought forth a transformation in the state budget. And this little change might bring a big difference in the lives of thousands of women in Punjab. Women can now travel free of cost on all government-run buses in the state. , Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh tweeted, “I am happy to share that Punjab Govt has decided to make travel free for women across the state in all Government buses. Punjab Government To Build Hostels Across State For Working Women

Apart from this, the Punjab government will also launch eight new schemes to protect and empower women.
