Qatar Airways has now rolled out a new rule, asking passengers to wear face shield and masks while aboard. The new rule comes as a precautionary measure to curb the spread of the virus. All passengers will be provided disposable face shields before they board. In addition, all travellers will also get a complimentary protective kit consisting of a single-use surgical face mask, disposable gloves, and hand sanitizer. Qatar Airways Announces New Safety Rules For Passengers
Children under two years are not required to wear face shields. Kids over 2 years will be given a kid-size face shield before boarding. Customers seated in economy class must wear the masks and shields at all times, except when eating or drinking. In addition, Qatar airways’ cabin crew will don head-to-toe Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) suits, complete with safety goggles. This is, in addition to the gloves and masks that cabin crew have already been wearing. In addition, the cabin crew has also undergone exclusive training to minimize their chances of contracting or spreading infection.

Emirates Launches New Safety Procedure
1. Inside The Airport
When passengers arrive at the airport, they’ll be handed complimentary hygiene kits that include masks, gloves, antibacterial wipes, and hand sanitizer. They will then undergo thermal temperature screening. Both gloves and masks are necessary for passengers and employees at all times.

2. On Board
Onboard the aircraft, magazines, and other print reading materials are no longer available. In premium classes, comfort items like mattress, pillows, blankets, headphones, and toys are hygienically sealed. The cutlery used during meal service is sterilized before each use. Passengers must check their cabin baggage and are only allowed to bring essential items like laptops, handbags, briefcases, and baby items on board. Cabin crew will also be fully outfitted in head-to-toe Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including face masks, face shields, and gloves. Furthermore, cabin crew are also dropped and picked from their homes before and after every shift. Staff are put up in individual hotel rooms and layover have also been reduced. After every flight, crew members must be on a mandatory quarantine in their homes for 14 days.
