QE2 Is Hosting A Magical Christmas Wonderland This December

Diwali might be just around the corner, but Dubai has already started planning Christmas! Dubai’s legendary ship turned hotel Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) has some exciting Christmas plans. The winter wonderland has it all- Christmas lights, festive delicacies, themed entertainment and markets, making it the perfect place to spread the festive cheer.

What’s It?

From 12 to 14 December, QE2 will transform into a floating winter wonderland, wearing a glittery Christmas look. Guests can expect a fancy Christmas tree, Peter Pan-themed entertainment, a Christmas market and much more. The Christmas tree-lighting is scheduled on 13 December and will be accompanied by carols and a surprise appearance by Santa. Entry is free, but you will have to register in advance.

In addition, the ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ band- Bee Gees will also take guests on a nostalgic journey. The festive market will open doors to shopaholics on 13 December from 10:00 am to 2pm. The market will boast an impressive line up of stalls selling home decor, handmade goodies, seasonal gifts and live cooking station.

That’s not all! Theatre fans can binge-watch Peter Pan performances between 11am and 3pm. And if you want to make it a little more memorable, dine with your favourite Peter Pan characters at the Tinkerbell’s afternoon tea. The hi-tea is from 1-2:30 pm and is priced at AED 135 for adults and AED 65 for children.

As for the dining options, kids can enjoy a Captain Hook brunch- a private dining experience with Peter Pan, Captain Hook and Tinkerbell. Meanwhile, adults can binge on international cuisine, free-flowing drinks and a live band performing Christmas hits all day. The dining experience is priced at AED 395 (house beverages included), AED 225  (soft package) and AED 95 for children under 12.

What Else?

QE2 also has a little something for Halloween. So, if you wish to kick off the festive cheer a little early, here’s what you can do. Eat, drink and experience the chill down your spine at QE2’s spooky Halloween brunch. Enjoy a relaxed brunch with over 100 dishes on the menu, while kids have some Halloween fun at the haunted ghost hall. There’s also a Below the Decks Haunted Tour’ for children from 1pm – 4pm for an additional charge.
