This episode of Sunday Brunch is probably one of the most important interviews that our Editor-In-Chief Kamiya Jani has ever done. It is also one of the most out-of-the-box Sunday brunches that we’ve had. And this is not just because our “brunch” is taking place at night, but also because our guest on this episode is the charming Rahul Gandhi. We wanted to get to know the man behind the politician and so we sat down and had a fun chat with him.
Rahul Gandhi’s Grandmother Pampered Him
In this episode of Sunday Brunch, Rahul Gandhi opened up about many things, from his favourite things to eat to his fond childhood memories. We also talked briefly about family dynamics in the Gandhi household and which child got pampered the most. According to Rahul Gandhi, he and her sister were pampered by different people in their family.
While Rahul Gandhi got pampered by his grandmother and mother, his sister got pampered by their father. So men of the family loved pampering the sister while the women of the family loved pampering Rahul Gandhi. “I think the women pamper me, and the men pampered her,” he said answering Kamiya’s question.
Education, Favourite Things To Eat & More
This interview was a lot of fun. Among the many things that Rahul Gandhi spoke about, one of them was his education. He said he went to study at the illustrious Harvard University where he studied politics and International relations. He also spoke at length about travel and how important it is for one to travel.
We also talked about his favourite things to eat and what he does and doesn’t like to eat. Matar or peas, and kathal or jackfruit are Rahul Gandhi’s most despised food items. Apart from these two, he likes to eat as diversely as possible. He also spoke at length about the food that he’s got to experience throughout his yatra. He found the food in Telangana too spicy but loved it nevertheless.
