Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway Built At ₹1,368 Crore Is Now Open; All You Need to Know

The Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway is now open to the public. This expressway was opened on July 15, after two rounds of security inspections. It spans over 66.91 kilometres, and more than 15,000 vehicles are already using this expressway daily.

Usually, it can take anywhere between five and six hours to travel between Jaipur and Delhi by road. But not anymore! The Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway, a key part of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, is now open for public use, and it will cut travel time to just three hours between the two cities and make the journey more seamless. Read to know everything about this newly opened expressway.

The newly opened Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway is a game-changer for people who want to cut short the travel time between Jaipur and Delhi while travelling by road. On July 15, this much-awaited expressway was opened for public use after two safety inspections. Spanning 66.91 kilometres, this four-lane access-controlled expressway was built at a budget of ₹1,368 crores. As per Times Now, the new expressway covers 32.7 km through Dausa district and 34.1 km within Jaipur district. This expressway will help reduce travel time and work as an alternative to NH-21 and NH-48.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) stated that this new expressway is expected to bring down the travel hours between Jaipur and Delhi to just three hours. NHAI has also mentioned that over 15,000 vehicles are using this new expressway daily, and numbers are likely to increase in future. The top speed limit on this route is 120 kmph.

Travellers’ Response To New Expressway

Recently, Hindustan Times shared the travellers’ responses on the new expressway. A Gurugram-based IT consultant, Amit Yadav, stated that on a weekend, he travelled to Jaipur to visit his in-laws. He shared that his journey was shorter and smoother, with no heavy vehicles, traffic and bottlenecks.

Delhi-based marketing executive, Pallavi Mehra, also took the new route to visit her parents in Jaipur. She added that she had heard that the new route was partially open, but wasn’t aware that it’s now fully open. During her latest journey, she took a new route and had a satisfactory experience. She mentioned that NH-48 is always full of traffic, but this new route felt like an airport runway.
