What Was Rana Daggubati’s First Paycheck?

Everyone enjoyed a mouthwatering non-vegetarian meal consisting of Hyderabadi biryani, various starters and more. While relishing good food, Kamiya asked Rana about his first salary, and to her surprise, she and Rana were paid the same amount. Rana shared with us that he worked in an advertising agency where he used to shoot ad films for a while.

For this gig, he was paid around 12 to 14 grand. He continued that he pursued Industrial Photography and then graduated to ad films. Hence, advertising and filming were not new to him. He went from shooting people from behind the camera to others shooting him in front of the camera. A big wow!

Now it was time to focus on Rana Daggubati’s uncle and learn about his first paycheck. Venkatesh recalled a time when he played a small role in a film called Prem Nagar which was also released in Hindi. He was merely 10 years old when his father randomly asked him to play the part and he agreed immediately. His father, Daggubati Ramanaidu, was a popular film producer in Telugu cinema.

He was paid ₹1,000 for this role and upon hearing this, Kamiya said that it was quite a huge amount back in the day! Venkatesh agreed and revealed that it was in the year 1970. Unfortunately, he doesn’t remember how he spent his paycheck.
