Rana Daggubati Gets To Wear Venkatesh Daggubati’s Clothes
We were curious to know who was the inspiration for Rana Daggubati when he was growing up and if it was his uncle. He replied, “Growing up he was the closest thing to a hero and everything I had. But after I grew up, I realised if I try to do what he does, I am going to fail at it.”
Rana continued that Venkatesh has been his biggest inspiration to this day. And not just for Rana’s career but also for his clothes and cars. Do you want to know how? “Everything was a hand-me-down from him to me and that’s how life went,” he mentioned. Looks like even some celebrities like to reuse and pass on things to their younger ones.

He Was A “Movie Junkie”
Next, Kamiya asked Venkatesh Daggubati whether he knew that Rana would be an actor. To our surprise, he told us that he never thought that Rana would follow in his footsteps. He shared with us that Rana as a kid was in his own world and was only in playing with his toys all day, every day.
He had Toy Story and Star Wars toys because in Rana’s own words, “Yeah, I was a movie junkie.” His uncle agreed and said that little Rana would even hide under his bed to play with these toys. Then he added that Rana had gathered immense knowledge about films on his own.
He went on to praise his nephew and how he became a young producer, worked with a special effects company and then found his calling, acting.
