Ladakh will soon be India’s first region to get a green hydrogen mobility project. Leh in Ladakh will get solar trees, hydrogen buses, solar carport and more. And now, after Ladakh, NTPC Ltd will build India’s largest solar park at Rann of Kutch in Gujarat. The 4750 MW renewable energy park, built by the largest power producer in the country. NTPC plans to generate green hydrogen on a commercial scale from this massive solar park.
India’s Largest Solar Park To Come Up In Rann Of Kutch
NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd has received a green signal from the ministry of new and renewable energy (MNRE) to build India’s largest solar park at Rann of Kutch. They have received the go-ahead under the ultra-mega renewable energy power parks (UMREPP) scheme. NTPC revealed this on July 13. NTPC, India’s largest energy integrated company has an aim to build 60 GW Renewable Energy Capacity by 2032. Recently, NTPC also commissioned floating solar of 10 MW on Andhra Pradesh’s Simhadri Thermal Power Plant. This is India’s largest floating solar.

Solar Park To Generate Green Hydrogen For Commercial Purposes
When it comes to Rann of Kutch’s upcoming gigantic solar park, this will be used to generate green hydrogen in commercial capacities. Apart from Rann of Kutch in Gujarat, NTPC will also build massive energy parks in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, Jammu & Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh.
