This MoU will help NTPC develop Ladakh into a carbon-free economy based on renewable sources and green hydrogen. NTPC further plans to start with five hydrogen buses in the region along with setting up a solar plant and a green hydrogen generation unit in Leh. These green initiatives will help put Leh as the first city in India to implement a green hydrogen-based mobility project.  This development also comes in line with PM Modi’s vision of a carbon-neutral Ladakh. NTPC has been pushing for ‘greening its portfolio’ and this green hydrogen project is another step towards achieving a low carbon footprint. They also plan on promoting green hydrogen-based solutions to the energy, chemical, fertilizer, steel sectors. Meanwhile, here are few amazing reasons why you must visit Ladakh.
