Ranveer Brar Flew To Finland To Sample Lappish Food

In the latest Sunday Brunch episode on Curly Tales Middle East, Saba Asif asked Ranveer Brar if he ever travelled to a specific country just to try one dish. The talented chef quips “I only travel to eat. Not specifically one dish. But my only objective to travel is because my checklist of what I have to eat is there”.

Chef Ranveer Brar further revealed, “I was recently in Finland because I wanted to understand Lappish food which is the food of the Arctic circle.” Lappish food traditionally revolves around meat-based dishes like cured sausages, moose or reindeer meat, stews, and tartare which are served with potatoes.

He Loves Travelling To Denmark Just To Dine At Noma

While, we’re yet to even understand what Lappish food entirely means, Ranveer Brar further added that he travels for a meal to Noma anytime. The chef further stated that Noma is one of the world’s best restaurants, run by his dear friend René Redzepi. And René’s understanding of tastes and flavours can shake one up from the inside, and that’s what he likes.
