Flight delays for longer hours are one of the worst travel experiences. Being stranded inside the airport without any confirmation about when the flight will take off is a horrible incident that many passengers face. Actor Ranvir Shorey also faced a similar experience recently while flying with IndiGo. The flight that he was about to catch was scheduled for 2 PM. But after a very long delay, it departed at around 12 AM.
Ranvir Shorey Shared The Terrible Experience Of Flying With Indigo
Taking to the X (formerly Twitter) platform, the actor talked about how the scheduled flight got delayed until midnight. It was indeed a miserable journey for all the passengers stuck inside the airport without any prior information or confirmation about the right time of the flight taking off.
A rough account of what @IndiGo6E put us through yesterday:
Our flight was scheduled for 2 PM. All 8 of us checked in 2 hours prior as stipulated, and only then were we informed that the flight is 3 hours late due to bad weather (fog). We were not intimated prior to reaching…

According to the social media post, the scheduled departing time of the IndiGo flight was 2 PM. After checking in, the actor and his co-passengers got to know that the flight was 2 hours late because of fog. They were not informed before and only got to know about the delay after reaching the airport.
It was at 3 PM when they checked in at the airport and once again were informed how the flight faced an unfortunate delay and the take-off time changed to 8 PM. The actor’s friend checked the official website of IndiGo and found out that the flight was coming in from Kolkata and there was no problem of any fog delaying the journey.
It was at around 7 PM when it was informed that the flight was again delayed and the takeoff time shifted to 9 PM. Next at 8 PM, they got to know that the IndiGo plane would depart after 10 PM. Sigh!!! After talking with the staff, the actor realised that the reason behind such horrible delays was because of not having a pilot to initiate the journey. Following a long delay and waiting period, the flight departed at around midnight.

Netizens Slam IndiGo Airline
Looks like many passengers came across such incidents in the past while flying with the airline. Responding to the post by Ranvir, many Netizens shared about their experiences. Some even called out IndiGo for being unprofessional and blamed them for such inconvenient conduct and for having no regard for passengers and their needs.
Peak unprofessionalism. They would’ve known well before and should’ve been honest from the get go

Quite a common scene with IndiGo airlines in recent few months
Problem is when we are late their flights are always on time and when we land on time their flights are always delayed
Plus their kind of arrogance is not matched even by Airindia

This is beyond incompetence. It is unprofessional conduct, no signs of a humane attitude, total disregard of the passengers needs and comfort and an inability to speak the truth by the airline

Sorry to say : domestic air travel business has become like private omni bus operators (fly by night touts ) …
I notice that they just club routes based on the number of seats booked and checked in . For this activity they blame “operational

Clearly an Indigo rooster issue of allocating staffs/pilots that has gone awry. They needs to be taken to cleaners. Imagine similar situation in US or UK…
