Moram, a Village Developmental Project driven through art and craft, is set up to employ and promote female artists in and around Bolpur. The resort also owns its own clothing line entirely produced using vegetable colours made by these very women! It is also equipped with all the comforts of a city life combined with the calm of the surrounding nature.
What’s In It?
You can request for a guided tour of the production of their clothes, make your own vegetable colours, dye fabrics and learn pattern making and printing from the local female artists. The local markets also provide a fun shopping experience. One can also visit Shantiniketan, a stone’s throw away from the resort and learn about the open air study concept designed by Rabindranath Tagore.
The resort also has its own vegetable and fruit garden and is famous for its delectable Bengali sweets. The Bengali Thali is most popular and comes with an assortment of our favorite Bengali dishes like Aloo Poshto, Lucchi , Mishti Doi and Roshogolla.
Single and double occupancy rooms are available, fully furnished and equipped with basic modern amenities. Free wifi is also available for the guests.
