‘Rock-Like Paratha’, This Woman’s Rant On Hostel Food Is Super Relatable & The Comments Are Hilarious!

Hostel food is in a different league altogether. We’re talking about watery dal, interchangeable curries where potato is always the main lead, and food that both looks and tastes unappetising. So, if you’ve ever stayed in a hostel, you’d instantly feel nostalgic reading this, yet not want to walk down this memory lane. Recently, a Twitterati shared a hilarious video of the food served in her hostel and it left the Internet ROFLing.

Twitterati Shares Video Of Hostel Food

Twitterati Sakshi Jani (@thecontentedge) took to the microblogging platform to share a hilarious video of the food served in her hostel. The video starts where she says “Dekhiye” ( look) and then she goes on to bang the paratha against a wooden desk in front of her. You can learn loud bangs as if she is not banging a paratha, but a rock on the table. She disappointedly remarks “Koi isko kaise khayega?” (how can someone eat this?)

Netizens Share Hilarious Comments

Netizens flooded the comments section sympathising with Sakshi Jain and also recollecting their not-so-fond hostel mess memories. Twitterati @iShashiShekhar replied that he ate such rotis in his mess in boarding school. Iftikar Barbhuiya hilariously replied that at least Sakshi doesn’t need to look for a hammer to fix a nail on the wall. K Ram tweeted that rock idlis and chapatis are hostel food characteristics.

Another wondered if she would use the coconut oil lying on her table to soften the roti. And many recommended that she put the Parachute Oil to good use by spreading it on the chapati to make it soft. Yet another Netizen observed that the paratha had fungus on it, so why would anyone even eat it, right? Twitterati @ab_ujjwal joked the paratha was made of Ambuja cement, so obviously it won’t break.
