Living in Mumbai, the ‘City of Dreams’ comes at a cost, a very high housing cost. Irrespective of the kind of home you live in, you’d still feel like you’ve burnt a hole in your pocket to afford it. Such is the case of a Zomato delivery man who shared a video on Instagram of his struggle to survive in a slum in Mumbai’s Bandra West.

Zomato Delivery Man Shares His Struggles In Mumbai

Paying a monthly rent of ₹500, the video shared by @qb__.07 shows a Zomato delivery man giving a tour of his home located in a slum in Mumbai’s Bandra West. In the video, the man is seen walking down a dimly-lit narrow lane and walking up a steel metal ladder which leads to his tiny home. It’s a small room. A friend of the delivery man, Sonu Bhai, climbs up the ladder to visit his room.

The tiny room is strewn with their belongings. Plastered walls and clothes hung for drying on clotheslines are seen. A kitten sits quietly in a corner. The Zomato delivery man shares the room with his roommates. The reel shows them eating Biryani packets bought for ₹50. At the end of the clip, the man says he suffered many health ailments and his family incurred a lot of expenses on his treatment. So, he doesn’t wish to borrow more money from his family for better accommodation.

Netizens Cheer Him & Suggest He Try Modelling

In the caption, he calls himself a struggling artist. He admits that the room is as big as the bathroom at his native home. Often sharing reels of his food delivery experiences and music covers, he continues to smile and stay motivated despite his dire circumstances. This reel garnered over 2 million views and Netizens filled the comments section with kindness, motivating him to never give up.

Many Instagrammers suggested he try modelling as he looks “fantastic”. “More power to you,” commented another Netizen. Another hyped him up by calling him better-looking than 1000 BTS (Korean Boy Band) members.
