He started his food exploration by sharing a picture of himself enjoying a piping hot cup of chai and rusk at a roadside dhaba en route to Goa. And now, Sachin Tendulkar has introduced his fans to a 109-year-old eatery in the beach destination, famous for its breakfast. Here’s all about it.
Sachin Tendulkar Visits Cafe Tato In Goa
Taking to his Instagram handle, Sachin Tendulkar shared a video where he is seen enjoying a mouth-watering breakfast platter at the 109-year-old iconic Goan eatery, Cafe Tato in Panaji. Unlike most tourists who visit Goa and rush to seafood restaurants, Sachin says he is instead a local eatery that serves delicious food.
Talking about his unique vegetarian breakfast platter, Sachin Tendulkar says he enjoyed the Goan special alsande — a coconut-based curry made with black-eyed peas. he explains that it’s similar to chawli in Marathi. The cricket legend cum foodie next talks about the delicious batata bhaji — flavoursome potato curry — which he enjoyed with fluffy puris.

He Loved The Buns & Recommends It To His Fans
But his ultimate favourite at Cafe Tato is the buns. While it looks like puris, Sachin explains to his followers that buns is made of bananas and it’s deep-fried. It tastes a little sweet but it’s “superb”, in his words. Lifting the plate of buns, he gives a closer glimpse of his favourite dish to his followers. He said Cafe Tato, an eatery he found in Goa will make foodies drool.
