Saudi Arabia: Riyadh Launches 3 New Metro Stations On 41 Km Orange Line

Riyadh just got a little easier to get around. The Royal Commission for Riyadh City has officially launched three brand-new stations on the Orange Line of the Riyadh Metro. And that means fewer traffic jams and more time to sip your morning coffee in peace.

Riyadh Metro Expands With Three New Stations Opened On Orange Line

The three shiny new stops are Al Malaz, Al Rajhi Grand Mosque, and Khashm Al Aan, each designed to improve access and speed up travel for daily commuters. These stations are part of Riyadh’s push to modernise its public transport system and reduce the city’s infamous car dependency.

These additions stretch across the Orange Line, a major lane in the metro system that runs west to east, connecting Jeddah Road to the Second Eastern Ring Road. That’s a solid 41 kilometres of fast, efficient, air-conditioned bliss.

A Glimpse Of The Bigger Picture Of Riyadh Metro Network

The Riyadh Metro is no small project. It spans 176 kilometres overall across the capital, with six main lines and a whopping 85 stations once fully operational. It’s one of the most ambitious transit systems in the Middle East, and it’s already transforming how people move around the city.

Eight major hubs are interconnecting the network, designed to ease congestion, slash emissions and offer a modern alternative to the daily car shuffle.

Trains operate daily from 6 a.m. to midnight, giving you a wide window to get wherever you need to go without white-knuckling the steering wheel through traffic.
