Saudi Arabia has added yet another sporting attraction to its growing entertainment destination, Qiddiya City. The National Golf Club has now opened its doors to anyone from the absolute beginner to the experienced pro. Located against the dramatic Tuwaiq Mountains, the new venue features an 18-hole championship golf course designed by golfing legend Sir Nick Faldo.

Qiddiya City’s National Golf Club Is Now Open To Everyone

The National Golf Club at Qiddiya City opened during the weekend of October 30, 2026. The 18-hole course has been designed by English professional golfer Sir Nick Faldo and offers a championship-level playing experience. The best part? You do not need an exclusive membership to play here. Operated by Golf Saudi, the club aims to make golf more accessible to residents, visitors and tourists. So, if you have always wanted to try the sport, this new addition to Qiddiya City might be worth checking out.

However, the club is not reserved for professional golfers or experienced players. The no-membership policy enables people of all walks of life, all skill levels, to enjoy the facility without joining an exclusive golf club.

The course also offers three six-hole loops, so golfers can play shorter rounds instead of playing all 18 holes. This makes it easier for beginners and those who want a shorter golfing session to get started.

Beginners Can Also Try Their Hand At Golf Here

If you have never held a golf club before, there is room to learn at the new venue. The National Golf Club will have coaching and practice facilities, and will provide programs for beginners to learn the game. A golf academy is also planned as part of the development, creating opportunities for players to improve their skills. Experienced golfers, meanwhile, can enjoy the full championship-level course.

The opening also marks another step in Qiddiya City’s plans to develop a wider sporting and entertainment destination. The golf club is located next to the National Tennis Centre, which is currently under construction.

Where Is The National Golf Club In Qiddiya City?

Nestled below the Tuwaiq Mountain range, the National Golf Club is surrounded by dramatic cliffs that rise some 200 meters above the surrounding terrain. Qiddiya City is located around 45 kilometres from Riyadh, making the golf club an option for residents and visitors looking for a sporting outing outside the capital.

There is more to come, too. A dedicated clubhouse and a driving range designed by Patterson’s are expected in 2028, adding to the facilities planned for golfers.

With Six Flags Qiddiya City and Aquarabia Qiddiya City already adding to the destination’s entertainment offering, the National Golf Club brings another reason to put Qiddiya on your Saudi Arabia itinerary.
